The iconic SAV Blackcap May 4136 has generated in excess of $8.6 million in progeny sales while being the most influential cow ever to grace the North Dakota pastures of Schaff Angus Valley. This prolific dam has produced an ever growing list of AI sires in the Angus breed including: SAV Resource, Renown, Pedigree, Sensation, Seedstock, and the 2017 record-selling Charlo sons. The female counterparts are just as impressive in production as the herd sires offspring of 4136. She will continue to be the base on which we build the Angus herd of True North Cattle.

SAV BLACK CAP MAY 3040, is one of the best EPD profiled cows in the True North Cattle herd. This double bred Blackcap May descends from the two highest income producing cows at SAV. She is a direct maternal granddaughter of 4136 and direct paternal granddaughter of SAV Blackcap May 5530.

SAV BLACKCAP MAY 1234, earned a weaning ratio of 122 as the last natural calf of 4136 from the same calf crop as SAV Resource 1441 and his 13 famous flush sisters. She ranked 2nd in weaning weight EPD and 5th in yearling weight EPD in the SAV cowherd, when selected as the foundation dam for True North Cattle. Her progeny has averaged $18,500 to date. Her progeny are currently foundation females in the TRU herd.
TRU BLACKCAP MAY 4336
The first Angus heifer registered with the True North Cattle herd prefix, TRU Blackcap May 4336. She is a 7/8 sister to SAV Seedstock 4838 and Sensation 5615, the lead off bulls of the 2015 and 2016 SAV sales, respectively. She was selected by Clark Hill Farms and Blubaugh Angus Ranch to be a foundation donor dam for their herds.
